Three ways to work your leads

Follow-up plan

“Tell me who needs a text or call today.”

A saved weekly queue for imported leads. It chooses the next scheduled action and remembers your progress across phones.

Open follow-up plan →

Phone workspace

“Let me work the lead in IMPACT right now.”

Your everyday controls for calling, moving between leads, recording results, and setting appointments. It follows your connected IMPACT window.

Open phone workspace →

Text mode

“I want to text the lead I’m working.”

A setting inside the Phone Workspace that replaces the calling view with a simpler texting view. It does not create the weekly plan queue.

A SAVED WEEKLY QUEUE

Follow-up plan

Best for a new batch of leads you want to follow through the week without keeping a separate checklist.

  1. Import on your computer. Open the plan page once, then open your IMPACT lead inbox. With the current extension installed, click Import inbox above the lead list. Keep the inbox open until it finishes. Sunday imports can start automatically.
  2. Open a lead in each IMPACT window to connect its phone lane. Use the same Companion account on the computer and phones.
  3. Tap Next lead on your phone. The plan chooses a due action and opens that lead in the matching IMPACT window.
  4. Do the action and record the result. The plan saves your progress so another phone does not work the same claimed action.
SunIntro text
MonUp to 3 calls
TueText + up to 3 calls
WedUp to 3 calls
ThuText + up to 3 calls
FriUp to 3 calls
SatFinal text + up to 2 calls

If Sunday’s introduction was missed, the Monday fallback makes it available 10 AM–1 PM Central. Calls still run 2–9 PM, with attempts at 2, 5, and 8 PM. A confirmed Sunday introduction is not repeated. Install the Monday fallback database update once to enable this.

All plan hours are Central time: weekdays 2–9 PM, Saturday 9 AM–2 PM, and Sunday texts 6–9 PM. Weekday training from 1–2 PM is excluded. Calls to the same lead wait at least two hours. Saved meetings block the queue; callbacks do not. These are maximum attempts, not calls you must squeeze in before closing.

How do texting and calling work in the plan?

Text: tap Open text message. Companion aligns the IMPACT lead and requests its call update, then opens your texting app with the number and draft. You tap Send. Return and tap No answer · text sent to confirm the text, request No answer in IMPACT, and load the next lead.

Call: tap Open phone dialer, place the call, and return to record No answer or We connected. No answer leaves later attempts scheduled; We connected pauses remaining outreach.

Opening a message does not prove it was sent. Use I did not send it if you did not send it. That does not undo an IMPACT call update already requested.

What if someone replies or books a meeting?

Tap They replied to pause the remaining outreach, or Appointment scheduled and enter the meeting time in Central time. Stop follow-ups cancels the remaining outreach. Use Resume follow-ups only when you want the remaining eligible steps to run again.

A reply marked in Text review also pauses an active plan lead. Saved future appointments stop its outreach. The app does not read incoming messages from your personal texting app—you report the reply.

What happens if I miss a day or import midweek?

Earlier-day calls expire instead of piling up. Only the latest eligible missed text remains. For example, returning Wednesday can show Tuesday’s text; returning Thursday moves to Thursday’s text.

The current plan ends after Saturday. Unfinished steps do not automatically roll into the following week. Reimporting an existing lead does not restart its plan or erase a reply or appointment.

How are the A/B/C/D texts and meeting times chosen?

Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday each have separate text experiments. Companion saves the selected version, message, number, sending time, and your reported outcome. After enough reviewed results, better-performing wording receives more use while other versions continue to be tested.

After 5 PM, C/D can test same-day offers when two suitable openings remain. Other offers use upcoming working times. Saved meetings are excluded; callbacks are ignored. Suggested times are not reservations until an appointment is actually saved.

Why does the plan say nothing is due?

You may be outside working hours, between spaced call attempts, near a saved meeting, or finished with eligible steps. A lead can also be awaiting a result on the other phone. Record that result there, then refresh the plan.

Leads with no readable phone number are skipped during import. The import summary identifies leads needing review. Do not contact a lead marked DO NOT CALL.

YOUR EVERYDAY CALLING CONTROLS

Open phone workspace

Use this when you want to work through IMPACT yourself, handle a particular lead, or use the full call-result and appointment controls.

  1. Keep IMPACT open on your computer and choose the matching Phone 1 or Phone 2 in Companion settings.
  2. Tap the lead’s Call control on your phone, then use your phone’s dialer. Companion requests the matching call action in IMPACT.
  3. Return to the workspace to record the result, set an appointment, or move to another lead.

With two phones, each computer window needs its own phone lane. Check the Phone 1 / Phone 2 badge in IMPACT. Two windows in the same browser can be used, but they must have different lanes.

TEXT THE CURRENT LEAD

Text mode

Turn on Texting mode in Settings, then open the Phone Workspace. Use this for individual texts or a texting session you control yourself.

  1. Review the prepared message for the current lead.
  2. Open your texting app with the prepared number and message. Use Copy if your app does not fill in the body.
  3. Send the message yourself, then return and tap I sent it. This saves the text and requests the IMPACT call-counter update.
  4. Record the appropriate IMPACT result and move on when ready.

Companion prefers Mobile. If Mobile is missing, it can use Home. A reported no reply can make an available Home number the next texting choice. The app cannot tell whether a number listed as Home actually accepts texts.

Messages are personalized by lead type and use your first name from Settings. You can review texts and report replies in Text review. Sending through Text mode does not automatically complete a Follow-up Plan step; use the plan’s own controls when working its queue.

WHEN SOMETHING DOESN’T LOOK RIGHT

Quick fixes

I cannot see Import inbox

It appears on your computer’s IMPACT lead inbox, above the lead list. Install the current extension from Setup & downloads, reload the extension, and refresh the IMPACT page. Opening the inbox on a phone does not install the computer extension.

My phone shows a different lead or no lead

Check that your phone and extension use the same Companion account. Confirm the phone’s lane matches the badge in its IMPACT window. Open a lead on the computer, then refresh the phone page. Keep the computer connected and IMPACT open.

My text opened, but the message is blank

Some texting apps do not accept a prefilled body. Use Copy message, open the conversation with the prepared number, paste, and tap Send. Only confirm the message as sent after you have actually sent it.

It says database setup is needed

The plan needs its account database setup before it can save progress. Use the setup instructions linked from the plan page. If setup was already completed, use the specific update file supplied for the new feature rather than rerunning the full setup.

How do I get updates?

The website changes when you refresh it. A ZIP-installed extension needs its updated files installed and the extension reloaded, followed by a refresh of IMPACT. The Chrome Web Store version is a backup option and can be behind the website download.
